Hi I’m Racquel! The photographer of Carlisle Mae Photography. I originally fell in love with portrait photography in high school and have always found it to be my favorite creative outlet.

Lifestyle portrait photography is a happy medium between a beautiful documentary approach and traditional posed portraits. Lifestyle photography is emotional and real. Lifestyle family sessions give you that documentary, candid feel. Narrating the dirty fingers playing in the mud, the happy giggles from the tickle monster. Real laughter, real tears, and crocked grins. Lifestyle sessions are authentic.

Don’t worry though, it’s still directed. I won’t just show up and expect your family to be open and outgoing and pretend I’m not there. I will still provide guidance and prompts to help everyone be comfortable. And together we will capture real, beautiful moments happening between you and your loved ones. Moments that show off who you really are. Together we’ll tell your story.

Unsure of your story? It’s probably right under your nose. Maybe your daughter’s favorite ice cream shop. How your family goes every Wednesday in the summer and how she always leaves with a sprinkled rainbow mess on her face, with sticky tiny fingers. Or maybe your story is a family tradition. Something that’s carried on through generations, or even a new family tradition. Like “Apple Sunday”. Every 1st Sunday of October, you and your family go to the apple orchard and then back apple goodies afterwards.
